Look at several interesting facts and statistics  about the changes
 and developments that have impacted women in the workforce:

Here is a list of just some of the Inventions By Women That Changed The World :


The car heater was invented by Margaret A. Wilcox in 1893.

The life raft  was invented by Maria Beasely in 1882.

The medical syringe Letitia Geer invented a medical syringe , in 1899, that could be operated with only one hand.

Florence Parpart , in 1914,  invented  The modern electric refrigerator  and a Street-cleaning machine, in 1900.

The dishwasher was invented by Josephine Cochrane , in 1887.

Wireless transmissions technology by Hedy Lamarr and

  a secret communications system during II World War for radio-controlling torpedoes was a Hedy Lamarr’s invention, too .

The paper bag. Margaret Knight received her patent for a machine that could produce square-bottomed bags in 1871, after a long legal battle with a fellow machinist, Charles Anan, who tried to steal her work by arguing that such a brilliant invention could not possibly have been invented by a girl.

The Central heating  was invented by Alice Parker in 1919.

 Chemist Stephanie Kwolek, whose invention of Kevlar has saved countless lives,

kevlar, used to make bulletproof vests.   

Computer software. Grace Murray Hopper, a rear admiral in the U.S. navy, was also a computer scientist who invented COBOL, “the first user-friendly business computer software program”.

The washing machine invented by Margaret Colvin in 1871.


The dishwashing machine by Josephine Cochran in 1872.


Ida Forbes invented the electric hot water heater in1917.


The Windshield wiper was invented by Mary Anderson in 1903.


 Melitta Bentz invented the coffee filter in 1908.


Ruth Wakefield invented the chocolate chip cookie, in 1937 and many more women and inventions.........
